How much will a website cost?

Not an easy answer as there are a number of factors that affect the overall cost:

  • Site complexity.
  • Design style.
  • Content copywriting and reviewing.
  • Web graphics and images.
  • SEO.
  • Hosting.
  • Work share.

Each web design is different and we seek to tailor the website's key design requirements within our clients budget constraints. At our first meeting we will seek to understand your requirements and should be in a position to give you a budgetary estimate after the meeting.

Once we have agreed the scope of the web design we can offer a fixed price to develop the website.

What are your payment terms?

Payment terms are determined once the scope and timescale of the project is defined and agreed.

How long to develop a website?

Not an easy question to answer as it depends on the size of the project.

Publishing a website requires 2 principle activities:

  • Creating the website structure.
  • Copywriting content and sourcing pictures and/or graphics.

In our experience the development of the content takes the longest time. Typically we find that it takes 4 to 6 elapsed weeks between starting work and publishing the website live.

Do you register domains?


We always register domains in your name.

Do I get an email service?


If we host your website we will set you up with an email service.

We also offer enhanced email services for users who require larger mailbox resource pools with 5GB, 20GB or 50GB at a small additional cost.

Can I use the Google G Suite email service?


For a number of clients we have set up Google G Suite which provides their collaboration tool set including email service while hosting their website within our web hosting service.

Do you work with other design agencies?


We frequently find that businesses have a preferred graphics design agency. We are happy to work with them.

I already have a logo, can you use this?


This assumes, of course, it is suitable for use in a web environment.

How much time will I need to invest?

How much time you need to invest in developing your website depends on three factors; time for us to get up to speed with your business sales and marketing, how the work share between us is arranged and Q & A during the website's development and review.

We should be in a position to give you an initial idea after our first meeting.

Which browsers do you support?

Freely Available Mainstream Browsers

We test the website against the latest available versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera browsers. These represent the latest mainstream, freely available, downloadable standards compliant browsers.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Support for Microsoft Internet Explorer is provided for Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) and above. IE11 is installed by Microsoft on Windows 7.

Those users on newer versions of IE 11+ will get a progressive enhancement of their browsing experience as Microsoft has incrementally implemented web standards in later versions. 

Can I manage the web content myself?


We positively encourage all our clients to manage their own web content. CMS websites are designed for ease of use by owners to manage - updating existing content, adding new pages, etc.

If you know the basics of a word processor you will be fine. We will show you how to add and modify your web pages.

How much does copywriting cost?

Not an easy answer as there are number of factors that affect the overall cost:

  • Breadth and depth of research required to understand your business subject matter.
  • Time to gain an understanding of your sales and marketing.
  • Approach to content review and approval.
  • SEO research.

We can discuss ball park costs when we gain a better understanding of your overall business and estimate the number of web pages that will need copywriting.

Do you do CRM and email marketing?


Email Marketing

This is typically used where you have a large customer base of email addresses. To meet various compliance criteria all customers should have opted in to receive email marketing from you. However, if this is not the case we can suggest an approach to gain opt-in agreement.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

This is a broader solution that enables both email and traditional communications to be sent to your customer base. It is typically used where there is a large customer base, extended product and service offerings, the need to store additional client information, broad operational processes or many members of staff requiring access to consistent and current information.

Can you set me up for email marketing?


We can incorporate on your website an email sign-up form linking to an email marketing service to enable you to send opt-in email marketing. This can be used for a variety of activities like newsletters, marketing offers, 'give to get' information, etc.

Do you design business stationery?


We can design the artworks for business cards, with compliments slips, letterheads, etc.

Do you offer training?


We provide a user guide for day-to-day administrative actions to your website. We provide this as part of the short training course we run just prior to setting your website live.

Website support and maintenance?

We offer website support and maintenance either by monthly maintenance contract, the scope of which will vary depending on requirements or we can provide support and maintenance on an ad hoc requests basis.
